Bak swallowed as she edged closer to the firing turrets. As she got close enough to touch it, however, she fell back. A cloaked shield blocked her path.
"Easy to deal with," Bak glanced at her right hand, which bore the most recent additions to her collection of technology; two devices that resembled a ring and bracelet. She clenched her hand into a fist, grinning as an energy shield activated over her forearm.
Without further ado, Bak punched the turret's shield. The defense fell without a second's hesitation. However, the turret then swerved, its' barrel now facing her at point-blank range.

"Owch!" Bak flinched back, having been shocked by a small bit of static electricity. She was in the hyperdrive room of the Ebon Hawk, working on a small electronical panel. Her fingers automatically flew to her mouth in an attempt to dull the pain.
