A GEM IN THE FOREST by Sublime-Feline

This is so beautiful, it looks as if it's caught somewhere between a painting and a photograph and a dream. Where do I start...

Oh my gosh, the light. I love the way this works with the sunbeams in the forest, reflecting off the leaves and foliage to make it look like there are patches of gold dust scattered throughout. It speaks a lot of innocence and ephemeral beauty, and says that the most precious things in life are oftentimes the most simple and sweet of moments.

The painting technique is casual yet detailed, using blurry but precise lines and a washed-out border to perhaps indicate the glimmer of a long-lost memory.

Great work, just really great work. :D
